Responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Management: Develop engaging and informative content for various digital platforms, particularly social media and blogs. Maintain a content calendar and ensure timely publication.
- Social Media Management: Manage and grow our agency and our client’s social media presence across various platforms (e.g., typically, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, and YouTube). Create and schedule posts, monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and run social media advertising campaigns. Measure monthly analytics.
- Website Management: Contribute to website updates, including content updates, image uploads, and basic SEO optimization. Ensure website content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with brand guidelines. Publish blog content written by others consistent with best practices and SEO standards.
- Email Marketing: Occasionally, assist in the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns, including drafting email copy, designing templates, managing subscriber lists, and analyzing campaign performance.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital marketing campaigns, particularly social media marketing metrics. Download monthly SEO metrics for multiple clients.
- Marketing Support: Provide general marketing support, including assisting with the development of marketing plans, coordinating with vendors, and managing marketing materials.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity (or willingness to learn) AP style. Excellent grammar and spelling.
- Passion for learning.
- Creative “eye” for design.
- 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing or a related role is preferred but not required.
- Good understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices.
- Ability to use social media platforms and content creation tools, e.g., Canva, Meta, Google Business Profile, and video editing software (one of Movavi, CapCut, or iMovie ).
- Familiarity with email and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, MailChimp) preferred.
- Familiarity with WordPress content management systems (CMS) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Basic understanding of SEO principles is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and take direction.
- Passion for learning and a willingness to take initiative.
- Proficiency in using Zoom and Microsoft products.
Wages
- Hourly pay and benefits are commensurate with experience and Illinois law. The minimum wage is $15 per hour.
